The Palms at Atlantis is a residential development of 60 homes located within the City of Atlantis, Florida. "The Palms" was developed by Centerline Homes in 1998 with five different floor plans ranging from 1727 sq ft to 2788 sq ft. The Palms at Atlantis Homeowners Association is governed by a five-member board and a professional management company. The Association is responsible for the landscape maintenance, irrigation system, lake maintenance, cable TV, residents alarm system monitoring and enforcing the deed restrictions of the community.
Named after the legendary island of Atlantis, this 834-acre country club development first opened in 1958. Atlantis is a private walled city located minutes from shopping, entertainment, recreation, parks and hospitals. It is a guard-gated community with three entryways and many homeowners' associations, condominiums and apartments. Atlantic offers exceptional golf on two courses, one private and one public, for those who love the game. Country clubs, water park, tennis and basketball facilities are available as well as numerous community activities.
The private golf course, renamed Lost City Golf Club features perfectly-manicured 27 holes. The restaurant and club are accessible by membership. The 18-hole Atlantis Country Club course and its dining restaurant are open to the public and non-Atlantis residents. Celebrities such as Jackie Gleason, John Davidson and others bought homes in Atlantis and frequented both golf courses.
The City of Atlantis is proud to have its own town hall, city leaders and police department devoted to the resident's safety and security, boasting one of the lowest crime ratings of any South Florida city. www.atlantisfl.gov
